🚀 Getting Started
What is The Anomaly Archive?
The Anomaly Archive is a citizen-led investigation platform dedicated to documenting, analyzing, and understanding unexplained phenomena. We collect verified reports of UAP sightings, cryptid encounters, paranormal activities, and other anomalous events to build the world's most comprehensive database of unexplained phenomena.
How do I submit a report?
Click on "Report Sighting" in the main navigation or visit our enhanced reporting page. Fill out the detailed form with as much information as possible. You can include photos, videos, audio recordings, and even drawings of what you witnessed. The more detail you provide, the higher your report's quality score will be.
Do I need to provide my real name?
No, you can report anonymously. We understand that many witnesses prefer privacy. However, providing contact information allows our investigation team to follow up with additional questions, which significantly improves the credibility and value of your report.
📊 Report Quality & Verification
What is a Quality Score?
Every report receives a quality score from 1.0 to 5.0 based on factors like media attachments, number of witnesses, detail level, location specificity, and time information. Higher quality reports are prioritized for investigation and appear more prominently in search results.
How are reports verified?
Our team reviews all submissions for authenticity, consistency, and credibility. We cross-reference locations, check for duplicate reports, analyze submitted media, and may contact witnesses for additional information. Only verified reports appear in our public database.
Why was my report rejected?
Reports may be rejected for: obvious hoaxes, insufficient detail, inappropriate content, duplicate submissions, or lack of credible evidence. If your report was rejected and you believe this was an error, please contact us with additional information.
Pro Tip: Include multiple witnesses, precise timestamps, weather conditions, and any photos or videos to maximize your report's quality score and verification chances.
🔍 Using the Database
How do I search for reports?
Use our advanced search feature to filter by location, phenomenon type, date range, quality score, and more. You can search for specific keywords in descriptions or browse by categories like UAP, cryptid, or paranormal encounters.
What do the map markers mean?
Different colored markers represent different phenomenon types: 🛸 for UAP sightings, 🦁 for cryptid encounters, 👻 for paranormal activities, and ⚡ for other anomalous phenomena. Click any marker to view the full report details.
Can I download or export data?
